Psalm 39:7
What is your hope? What is it anchored in? When the storms of life come (and they will!), do you lose hope or do you have a sure foundation?
I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
Psalm 16:8 NASB
When life is blowing and going with gale-force winds, what do you have to hold onto that is secure? Where will you take refuge from the storms of life, and be able to maintain your hope?
When my heart is overwhelmed;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a shelter for me,
A strong tower from the enemy.
I will abide in Your tabernacle forever;
I will trust in the shelter of Your wings.
Psalm 61:2b-4 NKJV
Do you have any guarantee for your hope? Anything that will back it up? Will you take a promise?
God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind. So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.
Hebrews 6:17-19 NLT
Word upon Word, promised forever. So in the principle of sowing and reaping, what are YOU sowing? Hope or discontent? Promise or despair? Sow seeds of hope. Water it with God's Word. He will give the increase.
Prayer:
Father,
Let everything we sow be pleasing unto you. Let it bring forth fruit, according to Your Word. Encourage those around the world who are reading this. Multiply their hope in You. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
