How Then Shall We Live?

“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities – his eternal power, and divine nature. So, they have no excuse for not knowing God.”
Romans 1:20

Let's face it. We get caught up in the struggles of life. We lose sight of the goal when the mountains stand in our way and we see no way over or around them. But maybe - just maybe - we're not supposed to go over or around. In Mark 11:22-24 NKJV, Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them

Have we lost our faith? Do we pray without expectation? Do we no longer believe God can or will do whatever we're praying about? I heard Clemson's head coach say if we can believe Jeremiah 29:11 - that God has plans to give us a future and a hope - then we can believe there is power in the present  to make it happen.

Have we lost that? Do we believe God's power is in our present day life? That it's available to us - those of us who believe?!?  In verse 17 of Romans 1, we're told, ...the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”  Do we?  How then shall we live?

Prayer:

Father,
Thank You for Your Word, for Your Truth, for Your Power! We know it is You who gives us power and authority to become the children of God. Open our eyes to see and our hearts to believe that we are overcomers of all this world will throw at us - by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
