No Fault

Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all."

John 18:37-38 NKJV

The world is crazy about 'no fault' scenarios. No fault insurance. No fault divorce. However, the Truth of it all is that there is only One without Fault.  In the book Grace, More Than We Deserve, Greater Than We Can Imagine, the author writes,
It's not that Jesus could not sin but that He did not sin... [He] was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15).
Jesus was God's model of a human being. Ever honest in the midst of hypocrisy. Relentlessly kind in a world of cruelty. Heaven-focused in spite of countless distractions. When it comes to sin, Jesus never did.
We, on the other hand, have never stopped...
To sin is to state, "God, I do not want you to be my king."
He who knew no sin - according to 2nd Corinthians 5:21 - we, as sinners, refuse and reject Him. The penalty for sin is death and we're all sinners, but Jesus paid the price. He was sinless yet He died in our place. Whose fault is that? At the Cross of Calvary where we find grace, we have no fault through the Blood of Christ. No fault.

The author continues,
Saturate your heart in this, the finest summary of God's greatest accomplishment: "God in His gracious kindness declares us not guilty."
No Fault. Only Jesus.

Prayer:

Father,
Thank You for the sacrifice of Your sinless, spotless Son. The perfect price of atonement for our sins. Help us to walk in this gift of Grace in understanding and wisdom. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
