Given the Option

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”

It's difficult enough to watch situations unfold that are not going according to plan when we believe we have the skill set to make it happen. We believe it to be even worse when we're doing everything within our own power and it's still not enough. We think if we just try harder, push more, give 110% (which physically and logically is impossible), we could fix it. Giving up doesn't enter our minds, and to surrender is never an option. And yet...

If we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and submit (surrender) to the leading of His Holy Spirit, we would be more than victorious in every situation. “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.”

Prayer:

Father,

          Forgive us when we think we can do anything apart from You. Open our eyes to see clearly Your perfect will to use our weaknesses for Your glory. We surrender to You our will and selfish pride and the delusional lies we have believed. Shine Your Light on our way. Help us, Lord, to humbly follow in Your footsteps. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
