Reviving Courage

The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this:
“I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts."
Isaiah 57:15 NLT

I am continually amazed at the love of God toward those who are His. In spite of our shortcomings, our failures, our sins, He willingly and lovingly gathers us to Himself when we repent and turn from our selfish and self-serving ways.

He promises to heal us, to comfort those who mourn, and to give us peace beyond our comprehension when our hearts are repentant. He said specifically that He will revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.

I don't know about you but in these days, I need all the courage that can be revived.

Prayer:

Father,
We cry out for You to reveal everything in us that separates us from You. Break the selfishness in our hearts, Lord. Be our refuge and strength. We pray as Paul prayed, that our love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help us determine what really matters, so that in the day of Christ we may be found pure and blameless, having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Your Son for Your glory and praise. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
