This Little Light of Mine

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:16 NKJV

♪♫ This little light of mine - I'm gonna let it shine ♪♫ If you went to church as a child, you more than likely sang this song based on our Promise for Today, including verses about not hiding it under a bushel, not letting satan blow it out, shining all over city, state and country. As children, we were quite enthusiastic about letting our light shine.

Prayer:

Father,

          We want to shine for You, not for bragging rights, but so that others may see and glorify You by the way we live. If we are not burning brightly, Holy Spirit please come and blow on the embers so that we may light up the world with God's love and goodness. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
