Realities

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
Colossians 3:1 NLT

In talking with most Christians, Heaven is the place to go after we die. The biggest idea of it in most minds is that their loved one who died is there and totally healed and has no more pain. And a very close second is no more tears. 

When was the last time you thought about the realities of Heaven - let alone set your sights on them? And made life changes to match the new life Christ bought for us?

I love the way this verse reads in The Message, So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.

Father,

           We want to see, know, and embrace life from Your perspective. Forgive us for being so earthly-minded that we're no Heavenly good. Keep us ever mindful to lift our eyes to the hills whence cometh our help. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
