Psalm 80:19 CSB
I don't like working without the proper light. It doesn't matter what I'm trying to do - read, write, clean, paint, stitch, or even just to gather my thoughts - don't block the light. However, have you ever noticed how easy it is for the slightest thing to get in the way and cast a shadow to impede your progress? And that the more light you need, the closer you need to be to the source?
Such is life on a much grander scale, as well. What blocks the light from the Father? What gets in the way? Why do we not reflect His light for all the world to see? Well, for sure when we turn our face away from His. The things we let take precedence over time spent with Him. Choosing to believe the facts of what we see with our eyes more than the Truth of what we read in His Word. When what we see as little things become the sins that block God's favor from our lives. Selah...
Prayer:
Father,
Shine Your light of Truth on our lives. Reveal the stealers of light in our lives. Draw us close - so close - to You, Lord, that we may see clearly. Forgive us for our part in allowing satan and his minions to block Your light on us. Restore us, Lord, God of Armies; make your face shine on us, so that we may be saved. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
