What's This World Coming To?

This is God's Message, the God who made earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as GodCall to me and I will answer you. I'll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.
Jeremiah 33:2-3 The Message

The world around us is changing so quickly, it’s hard to keep up! It’s not that we’re short of news or information – quite the contrary - but the overabundance seems to make it that much more difficult. Somehow, the truth of what’s happening and why gets smothered in the stuff.

Where do you go for your answers? It’s important to choose wisely. You see, the choices you make with regard to life and what’s left of it and/or what’s ahead are going to be made based on what or who you believe. Is your source trustworthy? Do their opinions and advice change with whoever is in power at the time? Are they based on what the stock market is doing?

I choose to believe the Word of God over anything I hear or see. I choose to stand on Christ the Solid Rock – my firm Foundation. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. God changes not. He knows the end from the beginning and shares it with us in His Word. He is the Alpha and Omega. Spending time with Him and knowing Him better is imperative. He alone is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. He created this world and the universe that holds it and all that’s on it. Why would I look to anyone or anything else for the answer to my questions?

Literally every day I hear someone ask the question in some form or fashion, What’s this world coming to?  The answer is, it’s coming to an end. And we need to know the One - the ONLY One - who knows when.

Prayer:

Father,
We fuss much like Martha did, worrying about the cares of this world. Forgive us, Father. Draw us close to Your side – reveal the depth of Your Word to us so we will know what is good and what is right. Lord, keep us focused on accomplishing Your will, not ours. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen
