To Do the Needful

And Jesus answered and said unto her, “Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things. But one thing is needful, and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

Like many global corporations, our company has farmed out our IT department and English is not the native language of the Call Center or the Help Desk. When we receive an open service ticket for whatever the request, it usually closes with the sentence, "Your ticket has been submitted to (the proper department) to do the needful." Based on results or lack thereof, I'm not always certain they have correctly assessed what truly is the needful.

However, Jesus ALWAYS correctly assesses every situation and knows exactly what is the needful. It's being in His presence. Spending time with Him. Seeking. Listening. Learning. Have we "chosen that good part" to do the needful?  The More I Seek You

Prayer:

Father,

          We want the relationship You have planned for us. We know that we are not fully alive without You and we are tired of being half-dead. Teach us, O God, how to seek Your face according to Your Word. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
