Looking Out for Number One

Do not seek your own good, but the good of the other person.

Looking out for number one. Numero Uno. What about what I want? What about what I need? It's all about me. It doesn't have to be a sports event - everybody wants to be #1. We live in a day and age when people think that they are entitled to be whatever they want to be, no matter the cost to others.

But that's not what God thinks. With God, it's preferring one another in love. It's loving your neighbor as you would yourself, fulfilling the law through love.

We ARE to be looking out for Number One. But we're not it. They are...

            Give us Your eyes to see. Your heart to love. Your mercy and grace to embrace others as You have done with us. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
