Genesis 50:20 NKJV
When things aren't going our way. When life throws us some curve balls or hurdles we were not expecting. When people, places and or things do not line up the way we think they should in our lives - why is it we always ask - "Where is God?" Do we think He's not watching? Do we question His Word in Matthew 28:20, that He is with us always, even to the end of the age? When we truly come to the understanding that God is who He says He is, and WE are NOT Him, then it will help us to understand that God is not shocked by anything that happens in our lives.
If our desire is to live before God with clean hands and a pure heart; to live holy and acceptable to Him, then we are going to go through the Refiner's fire.
Remember, it is in the fire that silver is purified. Refining gold begins with melting it. And diamonds are formed in high temperatures and incredible pressures. 1st Peter 1:7 tells us, These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.
We must trust that God is working all things for our good. Even what was meant as evil against us!
Prayer:
Father,
We choose to trust that You are working all things for our good! We have seen the evidence of Your grace and mercy and we thank You for using all things for the perfecting of the saints, to bring about in us the character of Christ. Help us to keep our focus always on You and what You are teaching us. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
