Hello all,
Andrea is still without Internet so I am sending another update.
Today is a very tough day for Andrea and her family, they've been staying in their home trying to fight the battle of lost carpet, floor, drywall etc., however, today has brought the realization that they can no longer stay there. Mold is seeping in no matter how hard they have tried and now it appears as though the house has shifted off its foundation based on daylight is being seen at ground level. They are urgently packing up what has not been damaged by the water and are trying to find a place to stay until decisions can be made by the insurance adjusters as to whether or not the home can be repaired.
Her grown children are headed to U-Haul to get boxes and hopefully, a truck so they can get started loading what they can salvage. People from her work are calling around to see if someone owns a RV or camper for them to stay in until they can find a more permanent solution. It will be months before they would be able to be back in their home, please pray that they can find something within their budget. My sister is a fighter, no matter how many times she gets knocked down, she gets back up, she will stay strong through this. Right now she is feeling pretty battered but she is still standing, the devil will not take her joy away!!! He's trying but he will not win! The joy of the Lord is Andrea's strength, not her circumstances.
Pray for physical strength to get through all of the packing and discarding of ruined treasures. She told me yesterday, she couldn't bear to see what all was lost so she made to the decision just to take it to the curb without knowing, things can be replaced....her family is alive and that is what matters most to her, others have not been as fortunate so she will remain thankful that they are together. She will apply for FEMA help today now that she is one of thousands who have lost their home.
Thank you everyone for your continued love, prayers and concern.
