The Same

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Hebrews 13:8 NLT

I take great comfort in this verse. While the world around us changes at an alarming rate and almost everything that was once considered normal is whirling and swirling out of control, we need someplace to stand to stay stable and balanced. Dear One, I offer today's Promise as the only Truth I know that can do that.

He doesn't change. He is our Rock, our Fortress. Isaiah 33:6 tells us He is our sure foundation, providing a rich store of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. That lends a whole new strength and meaning to standing on His Word.

Prayer:

Father,

           Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for providing our Chief Cornerstone that cannot be shaken by the storms of this world. Thank You for giving us a sure foundation on which we can stand firm. Lord, we will not be moved by what we hear or see. Our faith, our hope, our trust are in You and You alone. Shelter us under Your wings. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
