And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

The following was written by my daughter-in-love, Donna. It is so good I wanted to share it with you.

Saturday was a day of Sabbath. Followers of Christ had watched the ruin of what they believed in. Their hopes and plans for freedom were dead. Now believers were resting, mourning any hope they had held.

The Pharisees still feared Him. They went to Pilate and asked for His tomb to be sealed. Another nail to keep hope dead. That’s what so many face each day - another nail to steal, kill, and destroy the hope we have been given.

But today is the Sabbath, the day of rest. The day when all the earth was silent. The day when everything and everyone waited. So wait well.

Wait - knowing that our Hope is not dead, His joy comes in the morning.

Wait - knowing that, no matter what yesterday looked like or today looks like or what we think the next day will look like, He beat death, hell, and the grave.

Sunday is coming… Our victorious King is coming!

Prayer:

Father,
            Thank You that Your Word assures us in Romans 8:11, The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in us. And just as You raised Christ Jesus from the dead, You will give life to our mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within us. Your Spirit living in us. Help us to come to the knowing that we will rise again, that we will be victorious in and through You. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
