From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
Psalm 61:2 NKJV
Wouldn't it be great if you lived at the beach with the sun shining, and no humidity, and life was full of Tastycake chocolate cupcakes, and broiled lobster with drawn butter and neither one had any calories or fat grams and... and... okay, reality check.
Sometimes life is a quarantine with no end in sight, no cream for your coffee, rain that starts Friday night and stops Monday morning, a water main break in the middle of your shower, and worse... All you have to do is read the headlines on any given day. It can be SO much worse.
Sometimes it's a result of wrong choices. Sometimes, it's an attack from the enemy of our soul. Sometimes it's just life. But always - ALWAYS - God stands ready as the Rock of our salvation. The solid Rock. Our firm foundation. Our Shelter. Our Shield. Our Deliverer. Our Strength. When life feels like we've been thrown on the rocks, Christ is the Rock on which we can stand.
Prayer:
Father,
We want to follow Your will for our lives. You are our faithful Friend. According to Your Word, we know You hear us when we call. And we are thankful. Help us to remember that You are our ever-present help in time of trouble. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.
