Friends' Favorites - What's On the Label?

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.

Labels can be very informative. We put labels on boxes when we move or are packing things away. We list what's inside. Whose it is. Where it's going. We read the labels on food packaging, so we know what is or is not in there. These facts are important. 

I'm revamping the filing at work. Adding, removing, fine-tuning, and re-labeling. Some labels are color-coded. All left tab is one department, all right tab is another. So some things I know just by looking. I don't even have to read the drawer ID label.

Imagine if we were labeled in the same manner with our actual information... People could just walk up and read the list of what's inside and who we belong to and where we're going. I wonder how many of us would be marked with some sort of HazMat warning or some other Caution sticker. Toxic, even. Contagious? Good or bad?

Just as Christ has the tell-tale scars in His hands and feet, we, too, will have a tell-tale - His Name on our foreheads.

         O to be like Thee! O to be like Thee! Blessed Redeemer - pure as Thou art... Father,  give us clean hands and a pure heart and a life that totally reflects Your glory, so the world will know just by looking whose we are. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
