This I Know

For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:8-9 NKJV

Have you ever cast your eyes to Heaven and questioned, "What are You doing?!?"  The real question is - Do we trust Him to get us over - to get us through - to keep us - no matter what? No matter the circumstances we find ourselves in? No matter the trials and the struggles and the rough terrain? Do we trust Him? 

Faith is not about seeing our way clear, it's about knowing God will make a way - even when we can't see how. It's about trusting God even when what we see is NOT what we WANT to see. 

Do we know Him well enough to trust His Word and His way even when it is so vastly different from what we expected? What we wanted?

This I know. His thoughts are not my thoughts and His ways are not my ways. His are SO much higher... I choose His. 

Prayer:

Father,
           Thank You for Your Word and for watching over it to perform it. Thank You for having it written down for us to be able to refer back to. Thank You for every promise and for always being faithful to keep them. You alone are worthy of all glory and honor and praise. Help us to always choose Your Truth over anything and everything we see or hear. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
