Every Which Way +

"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
Isaiah 55:8 NKJV

I've been thinking about this verse off and on since early this morning. It's my birthday and all day long, I've been encouraged to have it my way, to do whatever I want, etc. Truly wonderful people wishing me well, wanting me to be happy. All in all, it's been blessed of God - a great day.

And I have to say - because of that - I am GLAD that HIS thoughts are not the thoughts that run random sometimes in my head...and the ways I have at times are not HIS chosen ways. 

However, I pray fervently that eventually, my thoughts will be only about the heart of the Father and which way He wants me to go next. Then I will know for sure that I'm doing it the right way - holy and righteous - going the right way. After all, there really is only His way.

Father,
           More of You, Lord. Less of me. With each passing year, I pray Your will, Your Way. In Jesus' Name. Amen
