* Reminded

For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

I know I have used this verse many times in writing the Promise for Today...but there are many times that I need to be reminded of what He said. Reminded that God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through? (Numbers 23:19). Reminded that His thoughts are not my thoughts. His ways are not my ways. Both His ways and His thoughts are so much higher than mine - than ours, according to Isaiah 55.

Reminded that in Isaiah 46: 9-11, God declares of Himself:

 9 Remember the things I have done in the past.
      For I alone am God!
      I am God, and there is none like me.
 10 Only I can tell you the future
      before it even happens.
   Everything I plan will come to pass,
      for I do whatever I wish.
 11 I will call a swift bird of prey from the east—
      a leader from a distant land to come and do my bidding.
   I have said what I would do,
      and I will do it.

Albert Einstein - one of the most brilliant minds of our time - once said, "God Almighty does not throw dice." When it comes to God, there is nothing left to chance. For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.  Did you need to be reminded?

Father,
            Thank You for Your Word - thank You for giving it to men to write down for those times that we need to be reminded. Help us to be ever mindful of You. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen
